In these tough financial times, God remains the answer. It was great to have Mark Templer here with us last weekend. What a great inspiration to hear stories from around the world about how God is moving not just in the past but today. I also appreciated his thoughts on our giving and the importance of making sure God is the first love of our life. There are five ways we are reaching out to minister to the church during this time.

Small Group Financial Midweeks: These began last week and will be focused on trusting God, addressing debt, having a budget and the heart of Christian giving.

Crown Financial Small Group Courses: So far we have about 35 people from the South County worship service signed up. BTP Career Transition Day: Sunday, September 27 from noon to 2:30 p.m. This workshop is designed to help you with your career. Maybe you are looking for a job. Maybe you are looking to upgrade your job. The event is free but we ask that sign up. Click here for details and registration.

Remember, tough times like these provide an excellent opportunity to reach out to friends and family who may not have been open to God in the past but are now open to Him. Be bold! Share your faith! Invite people to church or to these groups. Let's be the light of the world!

We are excited to announce that we intend to open a Day Care Center in Orange County during 2009. There are four reasons we are doing this:

> To serve the congregation

> To serve the community

> To reach out to our neighbors

> To help offset building costs

Here are the different ways you can help us make this endeavor successful:

> Pray for this Center often

> Work for the Center. A part of the survey allows you to express your desire to help out either by being an employee of the center or volunteering some time to help. Please fill this out only if you did not do this Sunday at church.

> Be a part of the Advisory Board. We are looking for people with the following backgrounds: Accounting, Early Childhood Education, Small Business, Parent of child attending the center and Public Relations. Once again, we hope to see this Center up and running in 2009. Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward.
